Privacy Policy
Applies to the Top Spot Race YouTube channel and to Top Spot Race Publisher. Last updated: 29 September 2026.
What Top Spot Race Publisher is
Top Spot Race Publisher is a private desktop application used only by the owner of the Top Spot Race YouTube channel. It uses the YouTube API Services to upload the channel's own videos, to organise them into the channel's playlists, to follow how they perform, and to research which topics and formats work on YouTube. It is not offered to, and cannot be used by, other people.
Data we access
With the channel owner's permission (Google OAuth, scopes youtube.upload and youtube), the application:
- uploads videos to the Top Spot Race channel and sets their title, description, tags, category and visibility;
- adds those videos to the channel's own playlists;
- reads information about the channel's own videos and playlists (for example their IDs and public view, like and comment counts) to check that uploads worked and to measure how our videos perform.
The application also reads public YouTube data, without any Google sign-in of other people, using an API key:
- public information about videos, channels and playlists of other creators (titles, publish dates, public view, like, comment and subscriber counts);
- a daily snapshot of those public statistics for a small list of watched channels and videos, so we can compute trends such as views per day, week or month;
- the text and like counts of public comments on some videos, to understand what viewers ask for. We do not store the commenter's name or channel ID.
We do not access private data of any other YouTube user, we do not contact commenters, and we do not build profiles of individual people. Comment text is used only for aggregate analysis.
How we store it
The OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only on the channel owner's computer. A record of our own uploads (video ID, title, publish date and public statistics), the daily snapshots and the public comments described above are kept in private databases on the owner's computer, used only by us. They are not published.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone, and we do not show YouTube data or comments to third parties. Our videos show only rankings built from public data sources, credited in each description.
Revoking access and deletion
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is revoked, the stored tokens stop working and are deleted from our computer; upload records, snapshots and stored comments are deleted on request within 30 days (contact below).
YouTube and Google
Top Spot Race Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Viewers of our videos
Watching our videos on YouTube is covered by YouTube's own terms and the Google Privacy Policy. We only see the aggregated, anonymous statistics YouTube shows every channel owner.
